Unique Properties of Nitrile & Vamac

The unique compounding of Nitrile with a PVC content to create PVC/NBR gives outstanding resistance to ozone and weather damage. Where higher temperature ratings are required (typically 150°C) Nitrile can be replaced by Vamac to provide a longer service life. Both Nitrile and Vamac are suitable for all Oil and most Fuel solutions.

Enhanced Strength through Modern and Traditional Reinforcements

If the Hose is required to work under pressure then to enhance its performance it can be reinforced by either integral polyester or aramid braided yarn to give a greater burst strength and still maintain high flexibility. For hoses subjected to a degree of negative pressure a high tensile steel wire helix can be inserted inside the hose to prevent the hose from collapsing under pressure.

For applications where high flexibility is necessary, Corrugated Nitrile is a potential option.

Working Temperature: -40°C to 110°C (can be formulated up to 150°C for Vamac)

Standard Bore Sizes: 38mm to 152mm

Nitrile is suitable for Fuel filler hoses where high temperatures are not involved.

Most standard sizes available from stock in 90° elbows or straight lengths. For Unique applications we can work with your design team to supply a bespoke hose to meet your connection requirements.

Most standard sizes available from stock in 90° elbows or straight lengths. We are also able to offer shaped hoses, reducing hoses, multiple bends, vented hoses.  

Typical Specification SAE J30

The flexible Nitrile hoses can be cut to the required length and easily clipped. The hoses are available in a large range of diameters (25mm to 100mm) and can be flexed to the required shape for varying connection points or avoiding potential tooling costs.

Corrugated Nitrile hoses with cuffed ends are ideal for applications where hose movement and flexibility are required.
