Silicone is extremely inert and so does not react with most chemicals, making it an ideal material for use within the pharmaceutical and food industries. The specially formulated silicones give typical advantages of very low bacteria build up (unlike typical organic hoses), reduced food taint and ultimately low maintenance costs.
